^Acrobatics isn't really a sport, and most acrobats are in better shape than most football players.

^Acrobatics isn't really a sport, and most acrobats are in better shape than most football players. Exactly. But people have to realize, even if marching band isn't a sport, that doesn't change how important it is. It's not like if marching band isn't a sport, it's not important at all. People need to wake up and realize that.

Just in my opinion, yes band is a sport. We do a lot of physical activity and have to have certain skills. A sport is physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. We have the physical activity, we have rules depending what competition you go to, we are very competitive. I have never seen a more competitive "sport" in my life.

Marching band is definitely a sport. Especially during parades and band camp....

The definition of a sport is an activity that includes physical prowess, skill, and competition. I'm pretty sure marching band fits all of those requirements.
