Commercial skit thingy I wrote about one of our DM's Katy Band presents... Real Marchers of Genius (Real Marchers of Gen--ius) Today we salute you, Mr. Way Too Serious Drum Major Guy (Mr. Way Too Serious Drum Major Guy!) At every game, you're the center of everyone's attention... Except for the people who came to watch football. But that doesn't matter... You'd direct even if no one was looking. (Can't stop directin') All you need is a mace and buzby, and you'd be a bona fide British soldier. People poke you, shove you and abuse in all sorts of ways and you just keep directing.... (Te 2 te 3 te 4 te) People who give you high fives wind up on their backs on the ground... and they can't find their hand. If it is still attatched, they can't feel it to save their lives. (Where'd I put my hand?) So always remember to take your ice-cold jug of water with you to practice... Because even the most statuesque people need their hydration. (That Roarin Band from Tigerland, Katy Highschool, Katy, Texas.)

In our show, our head DM uses a baseball bat as a prop. She had a looot of fun with it. Like when we were marching into the stands, she would be marking time with her bat, so it looked like she'd smack us with it if she wanted to.
And for the band auction, Mr. O originally planned to auction the bat off, but decided to give it to her without telling her. The day of the auction (I think), our DM went up to Mr. O to try to convince him to give her the bat (again). And that's when he gave it to her. I heard she turned really, really red. She asked the other DM's if they were in on this, and they nodded. I think this is where she hugged Mr. O, but I'm not entirely sure ...

My school has two drum majors including me. One day we were on the practice field...
Me: If i hear one more person on the field we're all doing push ups!
*5 mins later*
BD:Do I still hear taliking?!
Other DM: Guys please stop talking because I hate push ups
*2 mins later*
Other DM: Alright that's it no more warnings! Talk again and see what happens.
*Someone talks*
Other DM: Oh Mother F*****!

I, being the well liked person that I am, have been bumming rides off the DM to practice this year. So we were in his car, and I was riding shot with a crash of fish in back. All of a sudden he "takes off" down the road... Me: Yeah I drive better than you. Him: how so? Me: I'm not doing 45 in a 15 MPH zone Him: It's not actually doing that. Look at the spedometer. It's only going 15. It just FEELS fast. Me: Yeah... That's not a good thing! And look, the limit's 10 anyways... Whats that on your keychain? Him: My name? Me: Only girls do that! Him: Well me and PGTP and (various other kids) all bought them in San Antonio! Me: I thought PGTP had a Canadian flag on his keychain. Him: He does. He has his name too. Me: gosh im such a stalker Him: Yes you are Me: i need some stalker taffy... Just wait until you see the first SuperSteiner for this year. (comic about drum major that I draw for the band newsletter) Him: I don't wanna know.

My drum major would count off like this:
UNO DOS UNO DOS TRES FOUR!!!
She could not say cuatro because of a speach problem. She was amazing! I miss her so much. I will say I think I will stick to counting off in English. lol
