I know that this sorta goes under community/ alumni bands ... but what about a 'vet' forum?? like for people that have graduated/ aged out/ whatever and yet aren't a member of another type of band program because it's not really offered?? I know as a recent graduate I'd like it ... lol

Unless there already is one (and there might be, but I haven't seen it yet )... How about a "Live Journal" board? That's where all personal posts (aka Birthday threads, totally bizarre day threads, personal issue threads) would go. That way, they'll all be in one spot, and no one will feel bad about posting in the General area. Just a suggestion. :3

how about a Board for noobs to music in general. a place where seasoned players can give tips and advice (and of coarse draw them to the dark side :pirate: )

how about a percussion area? like for pit, drumline, ect... call it...The Percussion Zone! I'd then have to make a Brass and Woodwind Forum - maybe I could make subcategories under the Instrumental section? I believe there is an ImageShack upload feature that we could use. I'll check into it. I don't think that's neccessary. It just makes things look over-decorated or something.

Thanks everybody for the ideas. I've got enough to think about and work on for a while, so I'm going to lock the thread. I'll probably put up a thread like this from time to time to see how we can improve the board. I'm also going to be doing some cleanup soon now that this version of the board is almost a year old. Time flies!
