6 ladders on carts that our guard climbs on and do their thing and then drag them all over the field. Also known as "death on wheels" to the hornline .

Scaffolding, some track, and a big red ball. I don't know how it pieces together, I just worry about not hitting the Scaffolding.

For this year's show('The Four Freedoms') we had these four big props with each of the freedoms on them. The band was separated into four groups and we sort of hid behind them and started coming out gradually one group at a time.
My group(the saxes and a few of the craziest clarinets in the band) was behind the "freedom of speech" prop because, according to our band director, we "talked the most."
They were basically huge pieces of wood-ish cardboard. We also had a big prop in the middle behind the pit with all four freedoms written on it.

Our show was Pirates of the Carribean so we had this pirates ship that we had on the field with us. It rocked back and forth as we marched it was awesome!

So we didn't have any this year.. our show was pretty simple, but really good. but there was this one band and they did a huge-a;; show that was like Dragon mountain or something, so they had this huge cardboard mountain thing on the field, and the whole band had these red flags they would wave or whatever. it was pretty cool =]

We actually never have props. Our band director has this thing about being all traditional and stuff, and having loud music and awesome marching. Which I actually quite like because I look at these other bands that have all these huge fancy props and I sometimes think it is way over the top.

Our DM hit a "home run" with a baseball bat once we hit the "baseball diamond" set.
Last year's show was "Stained Glass", so they used giant mirror-looking things.

^ Saw the base ball bat thing... Yummy... Your color guard had a bunch of really neat props. Our opener next year was performed by the band many years ago... and the guard used trees! Seven Lakes (a school in our district) did this thing where they had the pit in the middle of the field and this girl came out and sang and the band acted like a crowd at a rock concert... It was awesome. Search Seven Lakes High School Band on YouTube- you really have to see it to get it.

We don't use props I wish we would though. I've seen some props from bands this year, they were great. I went to OMEA State finals and another competition in my area.

My freshman year we did a theme involving a girl in a dreamland of sorts so we actually had a twin sized bed we rolled out onto the field.

I'm thinking for our Swing show, we should have dinner tables and the color guard dancing swing on them. Thoughts?
