I think plumes look kinda silly. But secretly... I'm a little jealous. I think that's like the recognized signs of bands are the little feather dusters and shiny uniforms. Our band doesn't have those types of uniforms. We have like red poncho/jacket/ type things. I can't explain them really. And they have white Indian fringe and other Indian decorations on them. And we don't have hats... not plumes, etc. We have Head Dresses. The look really awesome. Almost exactly like this: www.crafts-gifts.com/indian/headdress.jpgOur drum majors have these really awesome head dresses that go like all the way down their backs. So... strange/silly/unusual uniforms. Anyone else have them? (We are the Indians, by the way, which is why our uniforms look different. Being an Indian is fun. Our Cheerleaders always make signs talking about how we're going to "Scalp the [other team's mascot]") [If this is in the wrong section, forgive me. I'm new.] I think the headress thing is pretty awesome. our school mascot is also the indians, but we have pretty normal looking uniforms: www.lovelandband.org/photos/2007/marching/pomona2007/pages/pomona-001_JPG.htm

I know this may not count as a uniform, but whenever we played "Beat It" by Michael Jackson in the stands, our DM would put on one of her white gloves and conduct! ;D and then 1st tenor sax would do the Thriller dance.
